Hayate Ayasaki es un joven que se ha visto obligado desde muy joven a trabajar,dado que sus padres son adictos a los juegos de azar. Es en uno de estos juegos donde contraen una deuda de 150 Millones de Yenes, la cual terminan pasando a su hijo. Es en su intento por salvar su propia vida de los acreedores que termina conociendo a Nagi Sanzenin,una muchacha hija de una familia adinerada,la cual le ofrece pagar su deuda a cambio de ser su mayordomo durante 40 años. De ahora en adelante el joven mayordomo se vera envuelto situaciones de diversa índole por salvaguardar la integridad de su joven ama.
